A West African Akan Disc necklace created by Museum Reproductions. These are based upon the traditional jewelry worn by West African women. These Akan discs were originally made in solid gold and the style has remained popular for over 4000 years. This necklace is created from gold plated pewter and glass beads and a lobster claw clasp. Matching earrings and a bracelet are below.
